Ways to identify if a teen is a Bully
All across America and possibly other countries too, bullying takes place. Bullying is a choice that teens make. By no means is it a good choice but it is a behavioral choice none the less. Teens that chose to bully others generally are more aggressive. Some signs that your teen may be a bully to others include being violent with others, along with getting into physical or verbal fights with others. If your teen is a cyber-bully they may seem more distant. They may even lock themselves in their room for long periods of time or delete all messages in and out along with their internet history daily. Teens that bully others may do it just because their friends do it. Peer pressure has a large impact on bullying. They may be afraid that if they do not join in on the bullying that they may be bullied instead. Some bullies find humor in cruel games and violent films. This in turn gives them a feeling of pleasure in bullying others. Another way to tell if your child is a bully is if he or she has extra money or new belongings that cannot be explained. They also may be quick to blame others and will not accept responsibility for their actions. Bullies sometimes find power in bullying and they bully others because they feel the need to win or be the best at everything. By bullying others they feel like the winner and that they can over power and do whatever they want to whoever they want. If you suspect that your teen is a bully and is bullying others then you need to find a way to confront them about it and get them help. Bullies tend to bottle up their emotions and relieve their emotions and stress as anger towards others. Don’t encourage bullying help to prevent it.
